Have you noticed yet, that when I get bored, I redesign this website? (I’m still working on the current design – just have to tweak it a tad bit and add a few things). You may (possibly) notice that I have again redesigned it.

Then again, it seems to be a common plague with blog designers in general.
I’ve also redesigned the package system, and minimized it to two instead of three.

Currently, I’m working on a photography blog’s design – as soon as I’m finished, I’ll post about it!

Giveaway Alert: I am giving away 2 innovative design packages on my regular blog, Farmgirl Writes. Go to it here.
I’m also sponsoring several prizes on Faith With Action’s Seven Day Challenge, which you should totally check out! Go to it here.

First off, the giveaway winner will be drawn for and announced tonight or tomorrow – I’m on my way to a minor league baseball game, and have a blog design to work on, so it will realistically be drawn for tomorrow. :D

I wanted to share with you all how my latest trip to the library went (yesterday). I’m pretty sure that if they don’t have a fine for getting too many books out at once, then they may have to create one with me around.
It was just one of those days when I found everything that I wanted to read, and some new books I hadn’t read by favorite authors. In no particular order:

Inkheart ~ Cornelia Funke
Inkspell ~ Cornelia Funke
The Boggart and the Monster ~ Susan Cooper
The Children of Hurin ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
Angels in the Snow ~ Melody Carlson
Seaward ~ Susan Cooper
The Magician’s Boy ~ Susan Cooper
The Green Boy ~ Susan Cooper
The Peoples of Middle Earth, Volume XII ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

Yes, I did clean the library out of all the Susan Cooper novels that I haven’t read. Did you notice? The librarian did – I think she thought I was crazy – walking around carrying an entire armful of volumes (yes, most of them are volume-sized).
Plus, I bought/acquired several other books recently that are still on my “to read” list (which got extremely long yesterday).
Just Ella ~ Margaret Peterson Haddix
Back Home Again ~ Melody Carlson
Redwall ~ Brian Jacques (and two other books in the same series that I can’t remember the titles of)

What are you reading?

“It’s not worth having
If it’s too much to hold
You can dig so deep
That you’re left with a hole
Thirsty in a desert with a bag full of gold
Don’t wanna end up like pirate bones
What I thought was precious was just a pile o’ stones
I might have the treasure but I’d be lying alone
Just a pile of pirate bones
If I forfeit my soul it ain’t worth having
If it’s something I stole it ain’t worth having

What if I stake everything I am on a dream
And it’s counterfeit?
If I reach the end that justifies the means
Could I live with it?
And if it’s true that having too much of any good thing
Could only make me sick
What’s the point in it
Where’s the benefit
When I’m gaining all but I’m losing it…”
~”Pirate Bones” – Natasha Bedingfield~

This should be my theme song… Seriously. Sometimes, I catch myself thinking “If only ____ (you can fill in the blank”. If only I had more money. If only I were more popular. If only I could go there. If only….
Then, I have to remember that I have so much. I have an amazing family, great friends, enough money for what I need. Why should I want more, other then it being human nature? Because the point is, I don’t NEED more. I may want it, but it’s not important, compared to what I have.

“I might have the treasure, but I’d be lying alone / just a pile of pirate bones…”
