Farmgirl Writes
1. If you had to choose between living on a desert island or tropical rainforest for the rest of your life,      which would you choose?
I would definitely go with the tropical rainforest – at least there is water!
2. What is your favorite music CD right now?
I have wayyyy too many favorites. I’m currently loving Taylor Swift’s Speak Now, and Cats (The Original Cast Recording).
3. If you were given the choice between wildflowers or roses – which would you pick?
I’m definitely a girl – roses for sure.
4. How much do you like notebooks? Is it mild, or are you absolutely obsessed with them?
Obsessed… It’s crazy!
5. What is your biggest goal this winter?
On the computer: School – and to grow my blog design site, and learn more about web design.
Off the computer: personal goals for piano.
6. If you could change your hair however you wanted, what would you do?
I probably wouldn’t change it. If I could add some very temporary highlights, I might, but I wouldn’t permanently change it. :D
7. Do you think Harry Potter is bad?
(I’m reading the series right now… so I’m not an expert). No, I don’t think so. As long as parents have discretion on when to let their kids read it. I wasn’t allowed to read it till high school(ish). However, it’s written for a junior high audience.
In terms of literary content, from only having read the first book: It’s well-written. I get peeved with Harry, because he’s already so famous, and is well… perfect at anything. And when he does something not-so-perfect, it almost always works out to be the right, perfect thing for him to do. And poor Ron is such a 2-dimensional character…
And… (okay, I’m done now
8. Why do you think pink is a girls’ color?
Because it is. Don’t question, just let it be. :P
I have met some guys who like pink though. I think it’s just that pink is associated with girl-y things, so guys don’t want to touch it. They want to separate themselves out from the girls.
But seriously. How am I supposed to know? I’m not a guy.
9. Would you be up to singing a solo in front of a thousand people?
Singing? No. If I can hide behind a piano, I’m fine. If I had to give a speech, I could. I have a low opinion of my own singing voice, and don’t know how to sing all that well, so I’d be too self-conscious.
10. What colors look best on you?
I hate to brag, but almost anything(ish). Greens, blues, teal, burgundy, and other dark, rich colors are a favorite.
11. If you had a different name, what would it be?
I don’t know… I love the name Natalie, but it doesn’t fit me. Probably Elise. :D
12. Do you like…
boots or sneakers?
Boots. ;)
flats or heels?
I’m tall, and I still love heels. Hope the guy I marry is tall, or has a good sense of humor.
books or movies?
Both.
purple or pink?
Depends on what for. To wear, I’d go with pink. To do a graphic design with, probably purple.
long hair or short hair?
Medium, with layers. ;)
a best friend or a group of friends?
Depends. I like having a group of friends, but sometimes, you just want that one person whom you can confide in.
ice cream or cake?
Ice cream… always has been, always will be.
plaid or polka dots?
Plaid, for sure. I’m a farmgirl, after all!

I’m not going to do this for every digital scrapbooking kit post, but I do want to just copy/paste my Terms of Use for all digital scrapbooking kits produced by CS Designs (yes, there are more on the way).

Finding Joy | The ABC's of Thanks
It’s Thanksgiving – a time especially set aside to ponder and be amazed at all of the things we have to be thankful for. Not that a turkey isn’t also a part of the day, but giving thanks presides over the bird – hopefully. :)
I definitely have more than 26 things that I’m thankful for, however, we do need to stay within the alphabet. I’m going to be listing things, mostly, but I think I might throw a name or two in there.
A) Airplanes – Oh My Goodness, OH MY GOODNESS! (You won’t get this, but my dad will. It has to do with his sermon this morning. :P )
B) Best friends, who love you, even though you’re absolutely crazy. (You know who you are. :D )
C) Cranberry sauce (yes)
D) Designing
E) Email
F) Family and friends (I love you all, so much.)
G) Gimp
H) Hay bales. Nuff said. ;)
I) Ice cream ;)
J) J
K) Kittens
L) L
M) Music
N) Nighttimes, to catch up on all the little things you forget about during the day. (Hence why I blog mostly at night).
O) Opal. Yes, even though she’s a pain. (Shhhhh, I didn’t say that, did I?)
P) Piano
Q) Quiet mornings
R) Rabbits – namely mine – Peter, the come-back-bunny. (Not combat-bunny! Although that might be appropriate at times.)
S) Sara
T) Truth. God’s truth, revealed to us in His word.
U) Unicorns – Voldemort is evil… But see below…
V) Voldemort. Because his presence makes it so that Harry Potter isn’t good at everything he does. *cough* Hooray for villains *choke*
W) Writing
X) X. Yes, this is an X. Hi Mr. X – nice to meet you. Meet my blog readers. Mr. X is here for that one important thing I’ll inevitably forget in this list. The Unknown X-Factor. :D
Y) Yesterdays. Because yesterdays mean that the mistakes from that day are behind us, and that today is a new day. :)
Z) Zippers. Wouldn’t clothes be a pain without them? (In other words, Z is a letter that I have no original words for… sorry to disappoint.)

Lovely Photo - Wordless or Not-So-Wordless Wednesday at Aspire
For the first time in forever, I’m linking up to Lovely Photo Wednesday! In other announcements, I’d just like to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving
(I mean – if you live in the United States. If not, I can still wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, but you know…)
(sunrise or sunset (?) in Israel)

Wait, what? I was gone for how long? *goes to look at last post* I haven’t posted since last Monday?
Well, we have a lot to catch up on then. Right?
Are you all still out there?
*waves*
Are you lost in cyberspace?
Or maybe you’re buried in schoolwork like yours truly?
*jumps up and down like a lunatic*
Hello?

Anyhow, in all seriousness, I do have a lot to tell you guys (and gals). First, I’m going to tell you who won my CSN Stores giveaway.

*cues music*
*reaches in magic… umm random.org “bucket”*
Congratulations to April, who won a $20 gift code to any CSN store! I think I know what she’ll be using it on. ;) April, playing kitchen with my sisters is a very fond memory of mine. We would play for hours on end with our little plastic kitchen, and an inordinate amount of plastic food that we’d collected over the years. I definitely hope your kids enjoy it as much as my sisters and I did.

April also noted in one of her comments that she is “loving reading about Peter and Opal”. (Thanks! I’m having so much fun documenting it!) This week, Peter and Opal had two run-ins – both of which turned out badly for…
Opal.
Are you starting to notice a trend here?
I’m glad I’m not the only one.
Actually, Opal had a short-lived “haha” moment.
Repeat the part about it being short-lived.
The next day…
As my friend Bharat so awesomely stated on my last post:
Peter: 3
Opal: 1
