From a Sunday afternoon hike with J. The light was amazing.

1. Haley Reinhart – Listen Up! I’m a huge fan of Haley’s from American Idol. Dude, this album is AMAZING. Love it.

2. Selah – Be Thou My Vision. This version is golden.

3. Joy Williams – By Surprise. I LOVE when Christian artists do upbeat songs like this.

4. Point of Grace – the Great Divide and Blue Skies. Recently I had a trip back into nostalgia when I used to listen to POG all the time. I rediscovered a few favorites.

5. Carrie Underwood – Blown Away. I love the title song to this album. Good Girl and Two Black Cadillacs are other favorites.

6. Charice – I Have Nothing/I Will Always Love You. In case you haven’t noticed, I have an addiction to powerhouse female voices.

7. Harry Gregson-Williams – Only the Beginning of the Adventure. This song is the best. Seriously. It’s my creative song.

8. Nicole Nordeman – Holy. This song has been moving me lately. So much.

9. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals – Paris (Ooh La La). Let’s just remember that this one needs a PG17-ish caption. Just warning ya.

10. Orthani – According to You. Not recent, but still catchy.

I’m now a few days into my summer. Officially, it’s no more school till fall. To keep my mind active, I’m studying a bit of American History with dad, and looking forward to working on my French again. I’m working part-time at the farm, and part-time at the library. It’s crazy, ya’ll. But it’s crazy good.

So here’s to summer, and 13 weeks until college. Life, I’m so excited for you to happen.

I’m done. With high school. Forever.

I finished on Friday, but have been so busy/tired that trying to type anything has been impossible. I’m excited to be done. I’m also excited for what this summer will bring. I have two part-time jobs (one at the library and one at the farm), which will book most of my time.

I have an idea of what my fall schedule will look like, and have a roommate. I’ve sent out graduation announcements, etc.

I have a new computer – a Macbook Pro. Love love love it. My lovely parents bought it for me as a graduation present, but we ordered it early, since my other computer broke. The bad part is that I don’t have my pictures or files, but hopefully will within a few weeks.

In eight days, I’m meeting my sweet friend Liz in person for the first time. We’ve been close throughout high school, but this is the first time we’ll meet each other face to face. I’m so thankful for the amazing friends I’ve made over the past four years (online in general) – some of you are my closest friends. Love you all.

(I have a Tumblr – check it out. There’s not much there yet, but I’ll be using it as a quick-posting blog area for photographs during this summer and college.)

Also, I freelensed for the first time the other day – here are a few of my favorites. #5 is my absolute favorite.

Remember me? I used to blog here… Actually, it hasn’t been that long, but I thought I’d send a brief update.

First of all, my computer is currently broken. I’d heard from my writer friends that 24/7 computer usage causes the need for almost yearly computer replacements – ha, guess they’re right. Or write. I almost typed that instead of right.

Secondly, I’m finishing high school. Seriously. I have one course left, and then an AP exam next Wednesday. Then it’s over with. I’m excited.

I should be back soon. No pictures, because my computer is a wreck, as I told you. (Dear computer, this was a really inconvenient time to break down. I’m living at deadline central right now, and don’t need you to worry about.)

Until then, I’ll share what I just shared on Facebook from work this evening.

Person: It’s due on the 11th, so it should be in within a few days!
Child: Yay! I can’t wait to read the Hunger Games!

What they DON’T know is that they’re probably #150 on a waiting list for that particular copy. I didn’t say anything – they’ll figure it out very soon. :)
